About the Metals Guild of Maryland
The Metals Guild of Maryland is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and support of the metal arts community. We are committed to providing our membership with opportunities that grow our creativity, stimulate us educationally, and foster knowledge sharing. We are also committed to creating greater public awareness, knowledge and appreciation of the metal arts.
Our members represent a broad and stimulating community of studio artists, students, educators, metalsmiths, designers, hobbyists, collectors, suppliers, and retailers. We are “makers” interested in metals and non-metal materials; in wearable and non-wearables; in functional and non-functional works; and in traditional and contemporary creations.
Membership is open to anyone associated with or interested in jewelry, design, and the metal arts.
We are proud to provide our members with a range of resources and opportunities including: informational lectures, workshops (e.g. “Ask the Experts”), demonstrations, and trips; annual membership exhibitions and competitions; and a monthly newsletter.
The Metals Guild of Maryland welcomes new members because we recognize that we all benefit from the professionalism, talent, motivation, and contributions of our members.
